Installation guide

Everything you need is in the box. Follow the steps below for your wall type.

Plasterboard

01

Mark the position

Hold the shelf against the wall. Use a spirit level to confirm it is straight. Mark the hole positions lightly with a pencil.

If possible, locate a wall stud behind the plasterboard using a stud finder or by tapping. Fixing into a stud gives a stronger hold and lets you use wood screws instead of hollow wall anchors.

02

Drill the holes

Fit a standard twist bit and drill at slow to medium speed. Plasterboard is soft — let the bit do the work. Refer to the included hole guide for the correct bit size.

Keep the drill perpendicular to the wall. Angled holes cause the anchor to sit unevenly and reduce holding strength. A short, firm entry is enough — there is no need to push hard.

03

Insert the anchors

Push the included hollow wall anchors into the holes. Tap flush with a hammer if needed. The anchor expands behind the board as the screw is driven in, distributing the load.

If an anchor spins in the hole rather than gripping, the hole may be slightly oversized. Remove it, pack the hole with a small piece of folded card or filler, and reinsert.

04

Fix and mount

Align the bracket with the anchors and drive in the included screws. Slide the shelf onto the bracket from above until it clicks into place.

Stop tightening as soon as the bracket sits firm against the wall. Overtightening compresses the plasterboard face and weakens the fixing over time.

Solid wall & tiles

01

Mark the position

Hold the shelf against the wall. Use a spirit level to confirm it is straight. Mark the hole positions lightly with a pencil.

Place a small cross of masking tape over each mark before drilling. This gives the bit a surface to grip at the start and prevents it from skating across the glaze.

02

Drill the holes

Fit a masonry or tile bit as appropriate. Refer to the included hole guide for the correct bit size. Drill to the depth of the included wall plug.

Start at the slowest speed with no hammer action — hammer mode shatters tiles. Once through the tile and into the wall behind, you can switch to hammer mode for the masonry section. Keep steady, even pressure and let the bit cool naturally between holes.

03

Insert the plugs

Push the included wall plugs into the holes until flush. Tap gently with a hammer if needed. The plug should sit snug — if it slides in loosely, the hole is too wide.

On solid masonry, drill a little deeper than the plug length and blow out the dust before inserting. Dust packed behind the plug prevents it from expanding fully and reduces grip.

04

Fix and mount

Align the bracket, drive in the screws until secure, then slide the shelf onto the bracket from above.

On tiles, drive the screw slowly. The tile face is under compression between the screw head and the wall — rushing this step risks cracking the glaze around the hole.
